Without installation
A ZIP archive to unpack, for example onto a USB stick. Double-click HMFAddress.exe, done.
Tip: Browsers usually download the ZIP without a warning. If the setup warning puts you off, simply take this version.

Ready in three steps
- Download and start: double-click the downloaded file. For the ZIP, first unpack it with right-click › Extract All.
- Bring your contacts: If you used HMF Address 1.x, your contacts are imported automatically the first time you start it. Otherwise, save your contacts from Outlook, Google Contacts, Excel or your mobile as a file and open it under Settings › Import. Guide
- Look around: No contacts yet? Settings › Load sample contacts fills the address book with around 60 examples, which you can remove again with one click. Go to quick start
Browser or Windows showing a warning?
Don’t worry. Browsers and Windows check how often a program has been downloaded. With new versions, a warning may therefore appear even though the file is perfectly fine.
Easier: Browsers usually download the version without installation (ZIP) without this warning. Windows may still ask once when you first start it; then choose “Run anyway” as described below.
In the browser: “This file is not commonly downloaded”
Edge: on the download, click the three dots … › Keep › Keep anyway.
Chrome: in the download list, click Download or Download anyway.
Firefox: in the download list, click the entry › Allow download.
On starting: “Windows protected your PC”
Click More info and then Run anyway.
How to recognise the genuine file: the setup and the program are digitally signed. After clicking More info, the Windows window shows the publisher as HMF-IT UG (haftungsbeschränkt). If it shows a different name or “Unknown publisher”, please don’t run the file and get in touch with us.
